Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Veterans Pavilion, Saturday, April 28th, 2018, Donald James Best, aged 87 years. A veteran of the Korean War with the 1st Army Field Regiment, RCHA. Predeceased by his loving wife Daphney Alfreda (nee Wills), baby boy Robert Best, parents James and Jennie (nee Coffin) Best, brothers: Reginald, Berkley, Neil and sister Greta Rose. Leaving to mourn daughters: Vickie Dawe (Randy), Beverly Slade (Jack), Yvette Best, Yvonne White (Darrell); ten grandchildren: Reg (Shelley ), Aaron, Ian (Cara), Adam (Kelley), Jessica (Carmen), Dylan, Ryan (Hillary), Nathan, Joshua (Monica), Deidra; two great-grandchildren Dryden and Charlye; sisters: Anita Rose and Eleanor Luther; as well as a circle of nieces and nephews. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place from The Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 at 2 pm with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
