Allan Lloyd Vincent

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who knew him in his 90th year. Allan passed peacefully away at his daughter’s home in Paradise on the 28th of April in the loving presence of all of his family. He leaves behind his wife and soul mate Elizabeth (Betty); children Maxine (Maurice Whiffen), Allan (Mary Lou), Derrick (Cheryl Ann); seven grandchildren Lisa Pastuck (Mark), Allison Leonard (Keith), Matthew Vincent (Allison), Adam Sturge (Candice), Catherine Vincent (Brett Randell), Cassandra Vincent (Luke Stockley) and Annie Vincent; six great-grandchildren Avery, Blake, Clarke, Benjamin, Brooke and Josie. He is predeceased by his infant son, parents Elihu and Beatrice (Cuff), his brothers Victor and Thomas (Bonnabell), parents-in-law Edgar and Gertrude Norris, brothers-in-law George Norris (Maggie), Ronald Norris (Myrtle), Charles Norris, and sister-in-law Frances Keats (Gordon). Allan was well known for his kind and gentle way, his love and devotion to his family and his positive outlook on life. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Cutler, Dr. Sylvia Mouland, Dr. Jamie Farrell and Dr. Oliver Holmes for care during his illness. Also thanks to the Palliative Care team – Dr. Bruce Dalton, nurses Frankie and Carol Ann and community care especially nurse Esther Abbott-Kent. A special thank you to his own personal nursing team Maxine, Lisa, Cassandra and Allison who supported his wish to stay at home with his family in his final days. At his request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place Thursday, May 3rd from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church, Newtown Friday, May 4th at 2 pm with inurnment to follow at a later date. Donations can be made to the Palliative Care Program at the Leonard A.
