We, the family of the late Elsie McDonald, would like to express our appreciation to all of our family and friends who helped us celebrate our Mom's long and happy life. A special thank you to Reverend Donald MacDonald, who was so attentive to our Mom; and to the congregation of Newsom United Church, its beautiful choir joined by choir members from surrounding churches; and its parishioners who provided the lovely reception following the funeral. We would also like to thank the staff of the Glace Bay General Hospital and Patten Funeral Home. We wish to acknowledge with heartfelt thanks those who have made charitable donations to Newsom United Church and the Glace Bay Heritage Museum Society in memory of our Mom.
