The death occurred peacefully with his family by his side, at Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 of William "Eugene" Callaghan, of O’Leary, age 82, dear husband of Clara Callaghan. Eugene was born in Alberton on April 1, 1936, son of the late Joseph & Loretta (Kinch) Callaghan. Cherished father to Pauline (Jerry) Gallant, O’Leary; Blair (Margo) Callaghan, North Bay, ON; Bev (Arthur) Morrison, Hebron; Owen (Lynne) Callaghan, Lindsay, ON and Shelley (Derrek) McCormick, O’Leary. Loving grandfather to Cedric, Christopher, Ashley, Linsey, Joey, Gregory, Amanda, Corey, great grandfather to MacKenzie, Jadyn and Easton. Eugene was predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters Larry, Claude, Earl, Beth, Bea, Jim and Grace. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and Friday until 10 a.m. then to St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock for funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment at a later date in the Parish Cemetery. In memory of Eugene, memorials to St. Anthony’s Restoration Fund and Margaret Stewart Ellis Home - Residents Council Fund would be appreciated.
