It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruby Maria Goosney announce her passing on on Sunday, May 13th, 2018 at the Western Memorial Hospital in her 84th year. She will be sadly missed by her children, Yvonne (Leo), George (Judy), Madonna, Beverley (Gordon), Everette (Marilyn), Paulette , Owen, Betty (Paul), Bride (Chris) and Wycliff (Myrna), grandchildren Gerri, Eyon (Vanessa), Richard (Renee), Stephen (Iris), Kayla (Dominic), Nicole, Chrystal (Jamie), Kyle (Jasmine), Matthew (Victoria), Jarvis, Lisa (Chris),Samantha (Christian), Sarah. Great-grandchildren Keisha (Josh), Cameron, Katona, Zachrey, Ashton, Taylor, Sydney, Charlie, and Isabelle. Her brother Hayward (Maxine). Sisters-in-law Blanche Osmond, Ada Wight, Gladys Morgan and Ida (Jim) Burden. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ruby was predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick), parents Everett and Ethel Osmond, brother Everett Osmond, father and mother-in-law John and Rita Goosney, sons-in-law David Parsons and Lindsay Holloway. Visitation will take place from Shoal Brook United Church on Tuesday from 7-9pm. Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. where also the funeral service will take place on Thursday at 2:00pm. with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot at the Church cemetery. To sign the guestbook or send condolences visit www.parsonsfuneralhome.com. Donations may be made to the Shoal Brook United Church memorial fund or to a charity of one’s choice in Ruby’s Memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, Deer Lake. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Western Memorial Hospital, and to the caregivers that took such good care of their mom.
