EVANS, Jack Whyle \"Generator Jack\"- During the early morning hours of October 30, 2008, the life of a kind and compassionate human being came to an end. Jack Whyle Evans passed away at the age of 76 years. Jack is survived by his daughter Jackie and son George and his grandchildren Matthew and Kelly. Also remaining to cherish his memories, are his brother Sam who recently had returned home to see him and wife Ruby of Las Vegas, cousin Vera Piercy of St. John\'s and cousin and dear friend Harold Piercy and wife Bonny of Winnipeg, Manitoba, as well as a number of relatives residing in Newfoundland, mainland Canada, the United States, England and Italy. He was predeceased by the mother of his children Elizabeth Evans (nee Brown), his mother and father Catharine and William Evans, as well as brothers Jesse, George, Elic, William, Roy and Carl. Jack was born and raised in Grand Bank, and apart from a brief period of time residing in Toronto, he made Mount Pearl then Conception Bay South his lifelong home. Cremation has taken place. His remains will be placed in the Evan\'s family plot at the Grand Bank United Church Cemetery. Jack already had a marker placed at the plot bearing his name, year of birth and inscribed on the marker are the words - HAPPY TRAILS. From all his relatives and friends remaining on the planet earth we say HAPPY TRAILS and so long to a good and decent human being.
