Marie Thérèse Blain
Marie went to be with her Lord on May 21, 2018 at the age of 93. Marie was born to Pierre and Léona Blain on November 7, 1924 in Vonda SK. Marie leaves to cherish her memory one sister-in-law, Marie Blain, Prince Albert and one brother-in-law, Jerry Ringuette, Saskatoon, and numerous loving nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Georges, and sisters Raymonde Blain, Eliane Bezaire and Rose Ringuette. Marie taught a few years in Saskatchewan but the majority of her teaching career was in Edmonton and Medicine Hat. She made a lasting impression on her young students and many of them have fond memories of her. She then retired to Saskatchewan to be close to her family. Marie enjoyed travelling and being with people. She was a very caring and loving person who had a strong faith in God. She was always willing and never hesitated to help anyone in need. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Queen of Peace Chapel at the Cathedral of the Holy Family (123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon). Rite of Committal will take place in the South Hill Cemetery, Prince Albert. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Ann’s Senior Citizens Village, 2910 Louise Street, Saskatoon SK S7J 3L8. Family and friends may send email condolences to Mourning Glory.
