LEWIS, Judith Carolyn, it is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Judith (Judy) Carolyn (Theriault) Lewis of Seabrook, Digby County on May 20, 2018 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born January 8,1946 in Digby, and raised in East Ferry, she was the third daughter to the late Harold Sr. and Christina (Staton) Theriault. She was a devoted friend to all who knew her. All were welcome in her home, no need to call ahead. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her family was her joy and purpose in life. She took excellent care of her mother when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She opened her doors to her grandchildren whenever they needed her. She had a heart of gold, loved her home and was so proud of it. Judy loved to renovate, and kept her son Carey and friends, Larry Titus and David Taylor busy with her many projects. She also loved to tend to her beautiful gardens and really had a green thumb for it. Her constant companion was her dog Maggie, whom she loved dearly. Judy is survived by her two loving children, daughter, Wendy (Danny) Harvieux and son, Carey Lewis; grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon (Jessie), Kerestyn, and Zachery; great grandchild Wyatt; sisters and brother, Eleanor Gidney, Marshalltown; Laurana (Ray) Tucker, Saulnierville; Esther Dunn (Jack), Digby; Harold Jr.(Dianne) Theriault, Waterford; Rebecca (Glen) Hall, Digby; Bruce Theriault, East Ferry; Jacqueline (Doug) Brown, Smith’s Cove; a special sister-in- law, Olive Hudson, Roxville; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband Tony in 1990; sister Lorna Mullen; brother-in-law William Gidney; a niece Cara (Dunn) Sankey; daughter-in-law Kelly (Tayler) Lewis. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of life will be June 2, 2018 at the Digby Curling Rink from 1-3 pm. Burial will follow in East Ferry Cemetery with her beloved husband Tony, “Together Again”.
