The death occurred suddenly at the home of her sister and brother in law in Unionvale, on Sunday, May 27, 2018 of Shirley Irene Gorrill, Lake Echo, NS, formerly of O'Leary, age 72, wife of the late Herb Gorrill. Born on April 9, 1946 in Coleman, daughter of the late Sam & Aletha (MacNevin) Cornish. Dear mother to Paul (Tammy) Gorrill, Porters Lake, N.S. Loving grandmother to Nathan. Loving sister to Billy (Ruth) Dunville, ON; Jean (Herb) Meggison, Mill River East; Mae (Richard) Gorrill, Unionvale; Everett (Theresa), Indian River; Annie (Bill) Hogg, Summerside; John (Shelley) , Summerside; Norman, Unionvale and Tracey (Joseph) Clements, Burton; Diane (Hugh) Kelley, Vancouver; Nancy Schofield, New Minas, N.S.; Paul (Dorie) Milligan, Windsor, N.S.; Ruthie Myers, New Minas, N.S. and Tim (Sylvia) Milligan, Porters Lake, N.S. Shirley is also survived by brothers and sisters in law, Joan Smallman, Knutsford; Faye Buchanan, Howlan; Joyce (Norman) MacDougall, Knutsford; Click Stewart (Treena Smith) Charlottetown; Allan (Judy) Gorrill, O’Leary; Barry Moshier, Westfall, N.S. and by numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, husband Herb (2009), and sister Isabelle. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Friday at 3 p.m. Interment to follow in Milburn United Church Cemetery.
