It is with a great depth of sadness that we announce the passing of our precious mother, Vera Jean Ross. Born 1923, Vera lived her life exemplary of her love for family and friends. She leaves behind her three beloved children Jean Vickery (Ken), Edmonton, AB, Judy Parsons (Steve, deceased), Charlottetown, PEI, and Don Ross (Joan), St. John’s, NL. Nana (Nanny) Ross loved dearly her seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Everything they did brought her immense joy. She was predeceased by her sister Lola and brother Gordon and their spouses. She so appreciated the caring for so many years of nieces, Heather and Brenda, and grand-niece Suzanne. Vera spent her last two years at Hillcrest Estates where she termed the caregivers as “my angels”, and we, as her family, appreciated each one of you. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, June 3rd. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018 from Barrett’s Chapel. Interment to follow at The General Protestant Cemetery.
