It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frank Carew announce his passing at the WMRH on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in his 81st year. He leaves to mourn with fond & loving memories, his dear wife Mary of 60 years; sons: Cameron (Elizabeth), Alphonse of Halifax; granddaughter Erin of Halifax; brother Eric Carew (Sylvia) of Port aux Basque; sisters: Anietha Sheaves of Port aux Basque, Selena Parsons of Baie Verte; sisters-in-law: Hilda Anderson of Port aux Basque, Martha Keeping of Port aux Basque; and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Frank was predeceased by his mother and father: Julie & Alexander Carew; mother and father-in-law: Alice & Edward Keeping; brother Alphonse Carew (Geraldine); brothers-in-law: Israel, Wilson, Ralph, Steward (Keeping), Clifford Sheaves, Norman Strickland, and Herbert Parsons. At Frank’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 7-9 pm from where the funeral service will take place at the Country Haven Chapel on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to send a special thanks to our dear friends Isabel & Calvin Gillis for their care and compassion they have shown through this difficult time.
