David worked on the railroad, CNR, for 17 years and later started a pet food company, Pet Foods Canada Limited. He had a natural love and caring for others and would often and easily enter into an engaging conversation with anyone, which often included his telling of a life experience or funny story. He enjoyed life tremendously through his love of the woods, horses and dogs. David was an avid hunter and fisherman who also guided others. He possessed a gift and had a deep passion for music – especially the piano which enabled him to devote himself to compose and record many wonderful songs left behind for others to enjoy forever. Many thanks are extended to Gerry Buyers, Barry Ryan and others for their support and encouragement along David’s musical path. Visitation will take place Thursday, June 21 from 1 – 2 pm with funeral service to follow at 2 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Pastor Ron Ruse officiating.
