Passed peacefully away at Presentation Convent, Cathedral Square, St. John’s on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, aged 88 years. Predeceased by her parents Mary Catherine and Michael Kennedy; her sisters Sister Mary Perpetua, PBVM and Theresa (Clem) Sutton, her brothers Thomas and Francis. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life are her two sisters-is-law Bernadette and Mary Kennedy, her devoted and most attentive nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, other relatives, friends, former students and the Presentation Sisters. Sister Josephine is resting at Presentation Motherhouse, Cathedral Square, St. John’s. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 28th from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, June 29th from 10-12, 2-4, and 7-9, with a Vigil Service at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Saturday, June 30th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Presentation Cemetery, Cathedral Square.
