The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O’Leary on Wednesday July 18, 2018 of Alcide J. Richard of Lady Slipper Villa, O’Leary and formerly of Tignish aged 71 years. Husband of the late Emilda (Arsenault) Richard. He is survived by stepsons Joey (Cheryl) Arsenault, Alberton, Troy Arsenault, Summerside, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother to Annette McFarlene (late Ian), Ottawa, Annie Pitre (Hector), Tignish Shore, Anne Marie Gallant (late Jude), Tignish, Frankie Richard (Elsie), St. Louis, Ian Richard, Charlottetown and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Frank and Frances, brothers Melvin, Edward, sisters Florence, Frances, Anita and Rita.
