Gordon Hatcher

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Gordon Roy Hatcher at the Northside General Hospital on July 23, 2018. Born in North Sydney on January 27, 1933, he was the son of the late George and Caroline Hatcher.
Gordon will be missed by his children, Nancy (Michael) Francis, Elaine (John) Allison, Leanne (Arlen), Jason (Amanda), Ronnie (Ann) Hatcher, Patricia (Greg) Morgan and Roger (Diann) Hatcher; brother, Vern Hatcher; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lilian Hatcher, and brother, Charles Hatcher.
At this time, the family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Wawer and staff at the Northside General Hospital, especially 4west for their care and compassion. A heartfelt thank you to the VON for their compassionate care as well.
Visitation for Gordon Hatcher will be from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, 8 Clyde Ave., Sydney Mines. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
