It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Sarah Skinner on July 31,2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with loving family at her side.
Born in Burnt Island NFL she was the daughter of the late William Caines and Harriette Adams.
Sarah was a member of St Mary’s Anglican Church and spent many hours volunteering with the Parish’s social committee.
She is survived by daughters, Sheila McDonald and Rayleen (Edmond) MacNeil; sons, Gary (Sheila) and Cordel (Johanna); sisters, Diane (Jim) Anderson and Rayleen Sheaves; brother, Bill (Mary) Caines; grandchildren, Gary, Aaron, Craig, Ryan, Kyle, Andrew and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Lukas, Madden, Teddy, Zoey, Finn and Wyatt.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband, John; son, Glen “Mouse” and brothers, Minter and Amos.
In following Sarah’s wishes there will be no visitation, Funeral service will take place on Friday August 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. in St. Mary’s Anglican Church with burial to follow in parish cemetery.
