Harold Michael Robinson

It was on Friday, August 3, 2018 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital while surrounded by the love of his family that Harold Michael Robinson passed away at the age of 70. Son of the late Harry and Frances (nee Barron) Robinson.
He was survived by Sylvia, his loving wife of 47 years; his children, Vicki Robinson, Tracey Snow, Janet (Gary) Hatcher, Michael (Sherrie) and Toby (Crystal); grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Erika, Rebecca, Kyla, Jesse, Jacob, Jamie, Charlene and Mitchell; his siblings, Marg (Albert) Hines, Fran (Ken) Robinson, Kenny (Judy), Clifford (Sharron), George (Janet), Dianne (Ken), Patsy (David) Baretto and Fabian (Angela), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved fur babies.
Besides his parents, Harold was predeceased by three sisters, Bonnie, Rita and Kay, as well as sons-in-law, David Snow and Samuel MacLean.
Harold worked for the CB Highlands National Park for over 26 years and he loved being a heavy machine operator and he never lost that awe a kid has of a big shiny new truck. He was a great conversationalist and an even better listener and truly enjoyed visiting with anyone. He also loved music. He played numerous instruments but was especially fond of the guitar.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, Ingonish. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, August 8 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Ingonish with Fr. Alphonsus Iwuji officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
