The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O’Leary on Monday August 6, 2018 of Avis J. Arsenault of Nail Pond, aged 70 years. He was born in Ascension on June 26, 1948, the son of Celina Arsenault (nee Doucette), Nail Pond and the late Cyril Arsenault. Dear brother to Nelson Arsenault (Gail), Woodstock and Jimmy Arsenault (Marie), Pleasant View. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Cyril and sister Melvina (Millie) Arsenault. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Wednesday 6-9 p.m. only. Funeral will be held Thursday August 9, 2018 at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Simon & St. Jude’s Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
