George Arthur Skinner November 28, 1945 - July 27, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Arthur Skinner announces his sudden passing at his residence in Gander on Friday, July 27, 2018, age 72 years, formerly of English Harbour West. He leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Beth; brothers, Donald (Ada) at St. Jacques and Frank at Halifax, NS; sisters, Grace (John) at Ontario, Ann (John) at Coomb’s Cove, Theresa at Coomb’s Cove, Bernice (Tom) at Harbour Breton, Elizabeth (Ronald) at English Harbour West and Joyce (Wayne) at Mose Ambrose; mother-in-law, Lily Ralph at Grand Bank; sisters-in-law, Jackie Ralph at Grand Bank and Kelly Strong (Dave) at Paradise, NL.; brothers-in-law, Charlie (Bonnie) at Crappard, PEI and Gus Ralph (Linda) at Grand Bank; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Susan Skinner; step-father, Robert Whitten; twin brother, Patrick and brother, Gordon; father-in-law, Reuben Ralph; nephews, Jamie Oakey, Troy Skinner and Justin Skinner. Funeral Service was held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm from St. Thomas Anglican Church at English Harbour West with Rev. Tryphena Vallis officiating.
