Nelson Kenneth McPhee
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nelson Kenneth McPhee, age 54, on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Mrs. Viola (Desrosiers) McPhee and the late Francis McPhee. Nelson was a welder by trade and was employed with many companies across Canada. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Besides his mother, Viola, Nelson is survived by his fiancée Semone Gouthro, his only son, Justin Bert; brother, Kevin McPhee (Wanda Nicholson); niece and goddaughter, Brittany, niece, Santana and her daughter, Brooke Emma; soon to be mother-in-law, Margaret “Peggy” Gouthro; best friends, Darren Sweeny and Donnie Campbell as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his father, Francis, he was predeceased by his brother, Gerry “Dixie” McPhee and a brother in infancy. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
