At the Kings County Memorial Hospital, with family by his side the passing of James S. Lowther age 85 of Belfast, devoted husband of 64 years to Enid (Wilkinson) Lowther, occurred on Friday, August 10, 2018. Born May 11, 1933 in Newcastle, England he was the son of the late James and Jane (Radcliffe) Lowther. James is survived by his children, Gregory (Julia), Scott (Erica), Dominic (Ann), Jeremy (Christine), Ian (Casey), Jennifer (Al) and Amy (Mike); sister, Margaret (Norman); fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. No visiting by personal request. A private Celebration of Life service for family and close friends only to be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 2 p.m., from Wood Islands Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wood Islands Presbyterian Church or Kings County Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
