Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on August 22, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer. Eric Baggs of Topsail, age 73 years. Retired from Memorial University in 2010 after 33 years of dedicated service to the Biology department. Predeceased by his parents Eric & Eva Baggs. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Winnie of 49 years; son: Eric (Sonia); four grandkids: Nicole, Asia, Elijah, Erika; brothers: Derek (Cassie), Bill; sister-in-law: Barbara Lush (Leslie), as well as special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A very special friend Julia Alyward whom he considered & treated like a daughter. Eric enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially being at the cabin. Many of these times were spent with his very close friend and buddy Howard Hyde (Roseanne). A very special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at 4NA & 4SA, your thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place, no services as requested by Eric.
