Peacefully at the Aberdeen Regional Hospital, on Monday, August 27, 2018, the death occurred of Westaway MacLean, of Pictou, N.S. and formerly of Charlottetown, P.E., age 79 years. Loving father of sons - Wade and Shane MacLean; daughters - Kim MacLean (John), Terrie MacLean (Danny) and Jillian Corbett. William will be missed by 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters - Janet MacLeod (Blair), Gail Nicholson, Claudia Welcher and Nettie Ryan (David) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents - Claude and Florence (nee Chandler) MacLean. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Friday, August 31, 2018 from 12:30-1:45 p.m., followed by funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Peters Road Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
