Paul George MacInnis
With profound sadness, the family announces the passing of Paul MacInnis, age 82, on September 4, 2018, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. We are mindful of his birth into his new life of eternal happiness. My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior.
Born in Glace Bay, raised in Donkin, he was the son of the late Allan and Gertrude (MacKenzie) MacInnis. Paul spent his working life on the high seas, fishing with his brother, Pius for 40 years, and on the offseason, he worked as a highly skilled carpenter.
Paul leaves behind to grieve, his wife, Linda Comer, his loving daughter, Cecelia (Paul) ON.; his son, Daniel (the late Ashley), Donkin; his adored granddaughters, Summer, Hailey and Desiree; stepdaughter, Dorothy Comer, Glace Bay; best friend and brother, Pius, Donkin; sisters, Mary, Sydney, Cecelia, Donkin as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters and brothers.
Paul received his Christian last rights from Fr. Dan Allan MacInnis. Cremation has taken place. There will be no other services.
