It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Marion Eileen Anderson (nee House) announces her peaceful passing at her residence in Port aux Basques, NL on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Born in Bay L'Argent, NL, Marion was the daughter of the late William and Mary House (nee Grandy). She was predeceased by her husband Llewelyn in 1996; father and mother-in-law Howard and Jane Anderson (nee Matthews); son Clayton Anderson; sisters Nina (George) Farrell, Susie Baker; brother Frank House; brothers and sisters-in-law Winslow Drake, John (Eva) Anderson, Charles (Irene) Anderson, Ethel (Matthew) Young, Bertrum (Mary) Anderson, Lillian Cribb and Hewitt Anderson. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving children Wanda (Clarence) Brokopp of Bashaw, AB, Louise Anderson (Allan Connick) of Amerest, NS, Howard (Darlene) Anderson of Halifax, NS, Brenda Anderson of Port aux Basques, NL, Brian (Marie) Anderson of Sherwood Park, AB, Jackie (James) Kettle of Port aux Basques, NL, Yvonne (Wayne) Richards of McDougalls, NL, Corey (Denise) Anderson of Port aux Basques, NL; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers Jane Drake, Mary (George) Bennett, Henry (Katherine) House, Bessie (James) Brown, Gordon (Betty) House, Freeman (Shelia) House, Edward (Phyllis) House, Eleanor (Andy) Barnes, Gerald (Dana) House; brothers-in-law Arthur (Elsie) Anderson, Gerald (Kathleen) Anderson, Ronald Baker; sister-in-law Joan House plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and continued on Thursday, September 6th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., in Port aux Basques, NL. The funeral service was held on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at 2 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church in Port aux Basques, NL officiated by The Rev. Eddie Coleman assisted by Deacon Effie Organ with interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Marion's memory can be made to St. James Anglican Church.
