Mrs. Ruby Grace Mae (Matheson) Weatherbee, wife of Herman Albert (Sonny) Weatherbee of Weldfield-Collette Road, Napan, N.B., passed away Friday September 7, 2018 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 71. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Jean (Smith) Matheson. She was a retired LPN and military wife who travelled around the world. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her time at the beach surrounded by friends and her beloved dog, Benji. Ruby was also a member of St. Michael’s Basilica. Besides her husband Sonny of 54 years, she is survived by two daughters; Katherine Jean Washburn of Miramichi and Kimberly Grace Corcoran (Allan) of Miramichi, three grandchildren, Nathan Corcoran of Miramichi, Shelby Corcoran of Saint John and Sarah Jean Washburn of Miramichi and one great-grandchild, Hunter Washburn-MacDonald, one sister; Arlene McLaren of Truro NS, three brothers; Gary (Carla) Matheson, Kenny (Joan) Matheson and Wade (Noreen) Matheson all of Truro, N.S. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son-in-law Patrick Washburn. At the request of Ruby there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Bible Hill Cemetery, Truro, Nova Scotia.
