Peacefully in Ottawa, at the age of 91. Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland on December 25, 1926. Predeceased by her loving parents Lt.-Cmdr. and Mrs. William Black. Dear sister of the late Lt.-Col. William Ellis Black, M.B.E., R.A. (retired) and his late wife Mary of London, England.

Gloria is survived by her dear cousins Jeanette (David) Marett, of Ottawa, Flora (the late John) Neave of Carleton Place, Elsie (the late Joseph) McManemin of Wyckoff, New Jersey, and predeceased by Ruth (Adrian) Cahill of Halifax, and their families.

At Gloria’s request, there will be no visitation. Private family service with interment at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated.
