Anna Maria Josephina “Annie” (Geverinck) te Bogt – 92, of Lower Wolfville, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Annie was born in Beltrum, The Netherlands. She was a daughter of the late Johannes and Johanna (Gunnewijk) Geverinck. In 1955, she emigrated from The Netherlands to Canada and married her husband, the late Henricus (Henk) te Bogt. Annie is survived by their seven children, Joanne, Lower Wolfville; Bernadette (Jim) Malone, Fall River; Paul (Debbie), Ronald, Peter (Laura), John, all of Lower Wolfville and Carl (Gwyneth), Grand Pré. Annie was a beloved Oma to her grandchildren, Thomas, Margaret, Christopher, Johanna, Stacy, Emily, Susan (Fabian), Donna, Ayla (Ken), Alysha, Cornelia, Henry, Carly, and Cameryn. She is also survived by her sister, Dina te Bulte, Fruitvale, BC and many nieces and nephews in Canada and The Netherlands. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Jan and Tony, and her sisters, Berendina and Grada (Sister Bernarda). Annie will be remembered for her generous heart and love of family and friends and for her strong faith. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m., with prayers held at 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral Mass was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018, in St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Wolfville, Father John MacPherson officiating. A reception followed in the Parish Hall. Private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
