We the family of Edwin George LaFosse, regretfully announce his passing on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Ramea, Newfoundland on October 9, 1954, George was the son of the late Hartley and Lucy (Marsden) LaFosse.
George made many friends over the years as a cab driver and up until his passing, a truck driver for Tom MacDonald Trucking. George had a kind heart, a great sense of humor, and a friend to many.
George is survived by his brothers, David (Kim), Hartley (Shaelene); his sister, Donna (Bill) Carrol, and his nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by grandparents, George and Maude LaFosse, Nathan & Marie Marsden; sister-in-law, Darlene Russell.
Special thanks to all of George’s doctors and nurses from the ICU at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
There will be no visitation by request. A celebration of life in honor of George will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the North Sydney Fireman’s Hall on Pierce Street.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
