Barbara Lee Matthews, age 72, formerly of Debert, passed away October 27, 2018 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Truro on July 21, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Shirley (Patriquin) Matthews. Barbara was known for her great sense of humour & love of animals. Barbara is survived by her sisters, Sharon Rundle, Nine Mile River; Carole Darrah (David), Hilden; nieces, Sonya Casey (Chris); Ann Crossman (Ray Telder); nephew, Matthew Darrah. The family would like to thank the staff of the Riverview Home for their loving care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Riverview Home in Stellarton.
