Ivan Kenneth
The family of Ivan Kenneth Estabrooks age 85 of Amherst are saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born on May 8, 1933 in Middle Sackville, NB, he was the son of the late Kenneth W. and Margaret (Robinson) Estabrooks. Ivan was very proud of his career of 38 years with CN Rail. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with family. He also loved his cats Tubby & Blue. He will be dearly missed by his daughters Debbie (Bill) Burke and Sherry (Dave); sons David (Beth) and Gary (Shelly); 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister Oena (Doug) Fullerton; brothers Orland (Joan Powell) and Evans (Lois); sisters in law Claudia, Faye, Janice (Dave) and Bona (Gilbert); brothers in law Sherman (Judy) Little, Wyman Little, Cyril Little and Raymond Little and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ivan was predeceased by his wife of 60 years Elizabeth “Betty” (Little). Following Ivan’s wishes a graveside service will be held in the Amherst Cemetery on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1 pm with Rev. Donnie Miller Officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, 902-667-9906. Donations may be made in Ivan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the L.A. Animal Shelter.
