CORMIER, MaCali Elizabeth Marie – age 4, Yarmouth, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 24, 2018 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born January 6, 2014, she was a daughter of Jocelyn LeBlanc and Matthew Cormier, Yarmouth. MaCali was a student in the pre-primary program at Yarmouth Central School. She loved school and couldn’t wait to go to the brand new school they were building across the street. She had a passion for swimming, camping at Ellenwood Park, horse riding, dancing and watching YouTube videos, most of which she did with her cousin Payton, whom she idolized. MaCali will be remembered as an awesome big sister to Tessa and Matthew Cormier. Most of all, MaCali will be remembered as a little girl who loved helping other people. Aside from her mom and dad and her brother and sister, MaCali leaves behind maternal grandparents, Beth (Roland) Hannem and Randy LeBlanc (Betty Harrington) as well as by paternal grandparents, Theresa (Neil) Muise. Also surviving are maternal great grandparents, George and Mary Hamiltion and Peter LeBlanc; aunts, Laura Fevens (Troy Sloan), Christina Fevens, Allison LeBlanc, Jessica Cormier, Amber Cormier, Katie Muise and an uncle, Gerard (Veronica) Muise, as well as lots and lots of great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Harold and Carol Ryan, Jules and Celeste Muise and her maternal great grandmother, Bernice LeBlanc. Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. Visitation took place from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, with prayers at 8 p.m., at the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, Haley Rd., Yarmouth, where the funeral was also held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 30, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. Memorial donations may be made to a trust fund established for MaCali’s brother and sister, Tessa and Matthew, and are being accepted at any branch of the RBC in Atlantic Canada until December 28, or at any Huskilson’s Funeral Home location (Yarmouth, Barrington or Shelburne). The family wishes to thank the first responders, Dr. Joe Gillis, Dr. Chris Murphy and Const. Hugh Martin as well as the many bystanders who were there to help.
