It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Michael Adam Archibald, on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Michael passed away suddenly at his parents’ home in Cookville, with his mother by his side. He left this world of pain to be in a world of beauty, with eternal peace and love. Born in Sackville, N.B. on July 31, 1959, he was the son of George and Gail (McCarthy) Archibald. Michael was an avid hunter & fisherman. His passion was spending time in the woods. He enjoyed machinery and driving his truck. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his Mum and Dad, Gail (McCarthy) and George Archibald; his brothers, Chris Archibald and Joey (Jacqueline) Archibald; his sister, Kathy (Bob) Steele; his special nephew, Nicholas (Keltie) Elliott; his nephews and nieces, Shane, Brandon, Brittany, Jonathan, Adam, Jessica and Colton, as well as by his extended family, all of whom he loved very much.
He was pre-deceased by his sister, Connie; his maternal grandparents, James and Connie (Roberts) McCarthy, as well as by his paternal grandparents, Adam and Lillian (Tapsell) Archibald. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Michael’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
