BAIANI, TERESA - Teresa Baiani, 96, wife of the late Cesare Baiani (1970), of Villa du Repos, Moncton, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital following a short illness. Born March 17, 1915 in Elce, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Dominico and Agatha (Paoletti) DiSimone. She immigrated to Canada with her husband and son in 1950 and made Moncton her home. She had many loving friends and relatives who she cared for very deeply. A woman with a kind and generous heart, Teresa’s life was entirely centered on her family ensuring her children and grandchildren were always well fed. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed sharing with neighbour's, friends and family. She will be sadly missed by her two loving sons: Joseph (Claudette) of Moncton and Benito (Geraldine) of Fredericton; her six precious grandchildren: Megan, Mario, and Dino of Moncton, Louis of Halifax, Laura of Vancouver, and Sophie of Fredericton; many nieces, nephews, and her son-in-law, Robert Rideout. Besides her husband, a daughter, Ada Rideout (2010), and her brothers and sisters predeceased her. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday, June 2nd from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. until departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at N-D-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, Friday June 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.In memory of Teresa, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. The Baiani family would like to thank the staff (angels) at the Dumont Hospital for the wonderful care Teresa received during the last weeks of her life.
