The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Tuesday December 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family of Clifford J. Bernard Tignish aged 88 years. Beloved husband of Julia (nee Doucette) Bernard. Cherished father to Loretta Gallant (Paul), Tignish and Ross Bernard (Anna Enman), Tignish. Loving grandfather to Luke (Harley), Lea Anne and great grandfather to Braden. Winter, Adam and Chaz. He is also survived by sisters Freda (Mary) and Valma (Marlene) and brother and sisters-in-law Florence Ann (Alvin) Pitre, Wilbert (Theresa) Doucette, Deborah Doucette/Gaudet, Helen (late Gilbert) Doucette, Betty (late Hector) Doucette. He was predeceased by parents Edward and Ida, brothers Alvin, Edgar, sisters Stella, Bertha, Ruth, in-laws Leo and Lorette Doucette, sister and brothers-in-law baby Wilbert, Thelma, Hector, Aubrey, Jimmy and Gilbert. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Friday from 9-9:45 PM. Funeral will be held Friday December 21, 2018 at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Celebrant Rev. John Molina. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op or Tignish Health Centre would be greatly appreciated.
