Passed on: December 14th, 2018
With Wayne’s sudden passing in Harbour Breton, NL, on December 14, 2018, age 71 years, we embrace all of our wonderful, loving memories of the kind, gentle and caring man he was. Leaving to mourn their tragic loss: his two children, Timothy Lewis (Krista Duncan), residing in Nova Scotia, and Amy Baker (nee Lewis) and son-in-law, Gordie Baker, residing in Alberta; his only grandchild, his granddaughter, Keira Baker, who was the absolute light of his life; his two sisters, Valerie Penney (Guy) and Jean Edison (Doug); his only brother, Robert Lewis (Marilyn). Also mourning his loss are his nieces and nephews; Krista and Justin Penney, Michelle, Andria and Stephanie Edison and Victor and Peter Lewis, as well as great-nieces and nephews. They are all deeply saddened by the loss of their uncle Wayne. Wayne leaves behind a large circle of family and friends, especially his lifelong buddy, Bob Wiseman. They spoke every day, exchanging the latest sports news. Wayne is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Irene (nee Burton) Lewis. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Wayne would have certainly experienced his kind and gentle heart and soul. He was forever giving and ever so humble. He always had a story to tell, accompanied by his infectious smile, hand gestures and actions. Full of contentment, he touched so many lives and will remain in our hearts forever. As per his wishes, Wayne was cremated and a “Celebration of his Life” will be held at a later date.
