Gordon Joseph Comer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved uncle Gordon Joseph Comer at the age of 84. He passed on December 19, 2018 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Gordon lived his whole life in Donkin. He was a quiet and private man.
He is survived by sister-in-law, Jeanie Comer; nephew, Eddie (Pauline) Comer, and several nieces and nephews.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Ella and Johnny Comer; brothers, Eddie (Rodena), Francis (Theresa), Bernie; sisters, Dorothy and Margarite (Elmer).
We are grateful for his special VON nurses and home care workers which allowed him to stay in his home. Also, we thank Dr. Cadegan for his many years of care to Gordon, and a special thanks to the staff at Glace Bay Hospital 3rd floor for the care and support given to him.
There will be no visitation. A Funeral Rite Service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay with Father Norman McPhee presiding.
Donations in Gordon’s memory may be made to St Gregory’s Church or charity of choice.
