Passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, December 20, 2018, retired, long time taxi driver, Gary Weldon Coish. Predeceased by his parents Weldon and Jean Coish; brother Clarence Coish; beloved partner/soulmate of 22 years Betty Baker. Leaving to mourn his brothers Ron (Barbara), Roger (Stella), Keith, Randy, Dennis (Judy), and Dale; sisters Marjorie, Brenda, Betty, Valerie (Karl Oliver); several nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends; also leaving to mourn the wonderful staff and residents at the Maplewood Seniors Apartment Complex. No visitation as per his wishes. Immediate and extended family will gather at Barrett's Funeral Home on Hamilton Ave on Thursday, December 27th, 2018 for a private visitation from 1-5 pm. Cremation to follow. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11 am from St. Michaels and all Angels Anglican Church, Kiwanis Street (Kenmount Terrace), St. John's, NL. No flowers by request. Donations in Gary's memory may be made to the St. Michaels Church Building Fund or a charity of one's choice. Interment at a later date in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
