Passed on: December 22nd, 2018

Passed peacefully away at her home on Bell Island on December 22, 2018 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents Wilson and Norma Noseworthy, parents-in-law Hubert and May Butler and sister-in-law Delphine. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband Douglas; sons Dean, David and Dale (Bernice); grandchildren Bradley and Zoe; brothers Don (Lee), Gary (Debbie); sisters Denise (Sid Reese), Marilyn (Tom Stoyles); sisters-in-law Margaret, Louise (Richard Chaffey), Francis (Bruce Patey), Sheila (Harvey Taylor), Barbara Alcock, Mary (Lorne Audia), Audrey Atkins; brothers-in-law John (Sheila), Hubert (Margaret); special cousin Elaine Cobb; special friends Rev Lisa Potter, Sophia sister, who was with her at her passing and was co-founder with her of the Sophia Wellness Center, Dr. Alexa Laurie, Sophia sister, friend and doctor, who medically cared for her while soothing her spirit with the harp, Sheryl Somerton, her health nurse, who faithfully cared for her, her Sophia sisters Teresita McCarthy, Kim Thomson, Carol Brown, Linda Hickey, Katherine Walters, Bonita Spracklin, Ros Hurley and Katherine Walters. Other special friends are Tony Campbell, Cynthia and David Squires, Linda Power, Clara Hammond, De Matthews, her school days friend, and Paul and Brenda MacDonald of Ontario. Diane, a lay reader in her Church, many times assisted Rev Lee. For over 47 years she was employed by the Wabana Town as its Town Clerk which made her a beloved friend of the entire Island and which accounts for her thousands of friends. The family is deeply appreciative of the loving care Diane received by her family especially by Bernice, her beloved daughter-in-law, and her friends who enabled her to pass at home with her four beautiful black cats keeping constant vigil over her. Cremation has taken place and a service of celebration of her life will take place at the Anglican Church, Bell Island at a later date.
