Born Dec. 13, 1937 in Carbonear, NL, passed peacefully away at Pleasantview Towers on December 29th, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn his wife of 58 years Daphne (nee Reid), daughter Dee (Geoff Antle); grandchildren: Rob Antle and Stephanie Antle. Also leaving to mourn sister Judy Short, brother-in-law Cecil E. Reid (Daphne), step-brothers: David (Aleta) Helmholtz and Michael (Diane) Helmholtz; step-sisters: Dory (George) Watkins and Jane Davis; special cousins Mary and Gerry Horlick and Fr. Michael Horlick. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 3rd from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Friday, January 4th from 2-4 pm from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. A celebration of Wally’s life will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, January 5th at 11 am with a reception to follow at Barrett’s Reception Lounge. A private family interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Wally’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
