Jacob Daniel Shaw

It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Jacob Daniel Shaw, age 94, of Baddeck/Kenloch, which occurred Dec. 8, 2018, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Margaree, April 14, 1924, son to John Rubin and Elizabeth (Phillips) Shaw.
Jacob is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor (Fraser); his brother, John Rubin Shaw, West Lake Ainslie; his children, Jimmy Shaw, Katie (Ron) Marquis, Audrey Fraser, Florence (Harold) MacLean, Isabel (Ivan) Rudderham; his step-children, Morgan (Diane) Duchesney, Lyn (Fred) Duchesney, Carter (Joyce) Duchesney; 16 grandchildren and his many great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sadie (MacAulay); daughter-in-law, Carol Anne (MacIssac) Shaw; sons-in-law, Hector Fraser and Hugh MacPherson; nine brothers and sisters; grandson, Daniel Rudderham; grandson-in-law, Colin Basker; and great-grandson, Christopher Basker.
Jacob worked in forestry his entire working life, loved a good game of cribbage, working on puzzles and most of all visiting with family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at this time. Burial will be at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Funeral Co-operative, Margaree Valley.
