Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Friday January 18, 2019 at the age of 85. A 40-year employee of NL Power (Retired 1992). Predeceased by his son, David. Parents Peter & Anne White. Brothers & Sisters Mary (Frank Glynn), Anne (Allan MacDonald), Bill, Stephanie (Peter Kent), Kay (Joe Norris), Gertrude (Tom Delurey), Leonard (Loretta), Magdalene Vickers, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Margaret (Gerald Colbert), Rose (William Tobin), Madonna Doyle. Leaving to mourn, with the most beautiful memories, his loving wife of 62 years, Joan. His six children, Judy (Al) Power, Gerard (Janice), Bobby (Kathy), Kenny (Diane), Debbie (Dave) St. Croix, Don (Lynette). 13 Grandchildren - Krista (Sean), Alison (Jeff), David (Shannon), Nicole (Pam), Cassandra, Robert (Rainbow), Melissa (Tony), Kyle, Brandon (Lauren), Kayla, Sophia, Courtney and Erica. 7 great-grandchildren - Jaiden, Hailey, Jack, Rachael, Liam, Charlotte, Blakely. Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Raymond Vickers, Aiden (Sheila) Carey, Sheila (Wayne) Williams, Paddy Doyle. Special lifelong friends Edward and Alisha Blackler. Caregivers: Bernice Colbert, Genny Sharpe, Stephanie Carey and Deanne Colbert A large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the Dialysis Unit at Mount Pearl Square (previously Waterford location) for the gracious care of my husband, our father & grandfather over the last 15 years. He thought of you all as family. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Saturday January 19, 2019 from 2-9 pm, Sunday January 20, 2019 from 2-9. Mass of Christian Burial to take place from St. Patrick’s RC Church, Witless Bay, on Monday January 21, 2019 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Cemetery, Witless Bay. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to Mount Pearl Square Dialysis Unit (c/o Health Care Foundation).
