It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice Payne announce her passing on Tuesday, January 22 at Long Term Care in Corner Brook at the age of 91. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Eric (Jane), Doug, Kathleen, Mike (Violet); 14 grandchildren: Maxine, Cynthia, Susan, Wallace, Darren, Doug, Don, Donna, Teena, Alonzo, Jason, Kevin, Jacqueline, Carson and their families. Also leaving to mourn: sister Bertha Payne, brother Lawrence (Sara) Payne, sister-in-law Lucy Payne. Predeceased by her husband Donald, parents Guy and Cora Payne, grandchildren Mona and Morgan, brother Richard and daughter-in-law Irene. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at St. Mary's the Virgin Anglican Church, Cow Head, from where the funeral will be held on Friday, January 25 at 2 pm with Canon Terry Rose officiating. Internment to follow at the Anglican Church Cemetery Cow Head. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's the Virgin Memorial Fund or to a charity of one's choice in Alice's memory.
