It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Marie MacDonald at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on January 24, 2019.
She was a daughter of the late Harold Ivey and Hattie (Clem) Jackman.
Marie worked at Ray’s grocery store in North Sydney for 18 years. In her past time, she enjoyed playing both bingo and a game of bowling.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph MacDonald, as well as her sister, Lorraine L. Newman; brother, James ‘Bud’ Ivey and his wife, Jackie, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she is also predeceased by her brother, Foster Ivey.
Visitation for Marie will take place today from 7-9 p.m. at SW Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney.
Funeral service to take place Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 11 a.m.
