It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert John (Bob) Coady. Bob passed away peacefully at the HSC on January 29th, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Don & Loretta (Nugent) Coady, his grandson Andrew O'Reilly, parents-in-law Rita and Thomas Harrigan, his step-daughter Kelly Dinn, brothers-in-law Michael Harrigan and Ed Belben. Leaving to mourn with the most beautiful memories are his wife of 33 years, Bernadette; His 4 children Debbie (Gerard O'Reilly), Barry (Paula), Kathy (Paul Toner), Jill (Rick Salisko); His 3 step-children Debbie Dunne (Jeremy Seaward), Daphne Ruby (Keith), and Jimmy Dinn. Brother Edward Coady (Sharon) and sister Barbara Belben; His much-loved grandchildren whom he cherished, Mark Dunne, Matthew O'Reilly (Maria), Robyn Dunne, Alex Coady, Tyler O'Driscoll, Emma Coady, Danielle Toner, Cody Ruby (Vanessa), Victoria Coady, Natalie Toner, and Eric Ruby; His special sister-in-law Annie Harrigan and special niece Tina Wakeham Ryan whom were his devoted road trip buddies; His life-long special friends Jim and Marg Brewer. His brothers-in-law Robert Harrigan (Thelma), Cecil Harrigan (Tish), Tommy Harrigan (Barb) and David Harrigan (Mary); Special nieces and nephews Bobby, Sean, Sue, Renee and Lynn; His much-loved cat Sophie and many more extended family and friends. Bob lived life to the fullest. He retired from his management position of 25 years from Hudson General at St. John's Airport in 1989. Bob and Bernadette were fortunate to be able to travel and explore the world. He was an avid golfer and sports fanatic. Bob made many life-long friends from his many years of being a snowbird in Florida, at the cabin in Deer Park, camping, hunting, golfing and at various sporting events.

Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Saturday Feb 2nd and Sunday Feb 3rd from 2:00-9:00 pm. Mass of a Christian burial to take place from St. Patrick’s R. C. Church, Witless Bay on Monday Feb 4th at 1:00 pm. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the NL Down Syndrome Society or a charity of your choice.
