It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our sister, Catherine Ann (Nicholson) Monchuk on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Edmonton.
Born in Sydney on June 2, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Neil J. and Marjorie A. (Parsons) Nicholson.
Catherine is survived by her son, Dennis (Linda); grandchildren, Cassandra and Brandon (Jenessa); great-grandson, Kohen; her daughter, Judy (Chris); grandchildren, Luc and Kate. Also surviving are her siblings in Cape Breton, brothers, Rick (Pam) Nicholson, Bill (Mary Lou) Nicholson; sisters, Judy Murphy (Donnie deceased) and Jane Nicholson and also several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Wil in 2017.
Interment will take place on February 11, 2019 in Edmonton.
