In Memory of Sue Chappell

After a courageous 14-year battle with cancer, Sue passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 11th, 2018.

Sue was an active member of her community. She served as a Sherbrooke councillor, 4H leader, Lioness member, and a director on the board of the National Gaucher Foundation of Canada.

Sue had a generous heart and quietly gave to others in their time of need, whether it was paying for a strangers groceries, donating toys or her time. Sue loved reading, painting, needle work, karaoke, and playing cards with gang at the St. Eleanor's Lions Club.

We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people that supported us through this first year without our dear Sue.

The staff at PCH, especially the Oncology nurses for your friendship and encouragement, Dr Trina Stewart for your phenomenal care and being Sue's lifeline, and the Palliative Care unit for your compassion and support.

Rev Cory Somers for the prayers, comfort, and officiating Sue's celebration of life at the Summerside Baptist Church.

Judy and Myra for providing lunch on the day of Sue's wake, and everyone who brought food to our home.

Moase Funeral Home for your kindness and professionalism.

Trevor and Matt for helping with Ron's snow removal business while he spent time in the hospital with Sue.

To all of Sue's dear friends, who miss her as much as we do, we thank you most of all. You supported us through the most difficult times and shared wonderful stories and memories.

It must have taken everything she had, physically, mentally and spiritually to have fought so hard to share her life with those she loved. Sue taught us all what strength really is.

We are content in the knowledge of a life superbly lived, and that she walks with Jesus and loved ones that have gone before her in the presence of God.

Lovingly remembered by husband Ron Chappell, children Carla, Alexander, Emily, and Patrick Chappell, mother Joyce Morrison, brothers Rick and Scott Morrison, sister Ann Culleton, and extended families.
