With broken hearts, we, the family of Thomas David “Tom” MacDonald, of Mira Road, regret to announce his passing on Sunday, February 3, 2019.
Born November 29, 1950, in Sydney, he was the son of the late Thomas “Tim” and Violet (Bauer) MacDonald.
Tom enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his friends.
Together for 52 years and married for 43 years, Tom is survived by his loving wife, Juanita (Leterte); sons, Thomas and Trevor (Elisha), Edmonton; grandchildren, Zoe, Eli and Olivia; sister, Anna (Larry) Myatt, Sydney; niece, Amanda (Luke) Ross; great-niece, Emelia.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 9 from 2-5 p.m., with prayers held at 3 p.m. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
