The death occurred peacefully with his family at his side at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Tuesday May 31, 2011 of Mr. Stanley Claude Bryanton of Charlottetown and formerly of Spring Valley in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Setsuko Bryanton. Dear father of John Stanley (Elizabeth) Bryanton, Claudia O’Meara, Marilyn Waddle of Kentucky, Teri (Ray Sr.) Smith, Dave (Janet) Bryanton. Stanley is also fondly remembered by grandchildren Shane Bryanton, Lisa Bryanton-Furukawa, Erin Ehret, Len O’Meara, Elizabeth Waddle, Ray Jr. And Tanya Smith, Kelly Judson, Matthew and Megan Bryanton and 13 great-grandchildren and sister Irene (Ron) McClarty. Stanley is also fondly remembered by the mother of his children Elizabeth Standing. He was a past president of Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was predeceased by his son William Douglas and sisters and brothers Ruby, June, Lloyd, Harold and Evelyn and sons-in-law Gerald O’Meara and Jerry Waddle. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from here the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Interment will take place later in the family plot at the People’s Cemetery, Charlottetown. If so desired, memorials in Stanley’s memory may be made to Park Royal United Church or the Poppy Campaign. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion will gather at the funeral home for a Veteran’s Tribute Service for their late comrade Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.islandowned.ca.
