It is with profound sadness and broken hearts, that we, the family of Mary Margaret Walsh (Carroll) announce her sudden and peaceful passing. She passed away in the presence of her loving family at the HSC on February 14, 2019. She is predeceased by her parents Elizabeth (Brewer) Carroll and Martin Carroll, granddaughter Sydney Baggs and her brothers Michael and Thomas Carroll and her sister Rita. Her parents and brother Thomas, resettled from Clattice Harbour to Holyrood. She leaves to mourn, with fond and loving memories her beloved husband of 62 years, Raymond Francis Walsh; her caring and devoted children: Sheila Greene (Charlie), Sharon Niklas (George), Regina Baggs (Derrick), Raymond Walsh (Peg), and Wade Walsh (Mabel), Eunice Carroll Warford (Graham) and her children Carrie and Travis, Edmonton, Alberta; her cherished grandchildren Ryan Walsh, Alexandra Greene, Riley Bagg, Kristian Walsh and Jamie Baggs. She will be missed by her furry companion Dexter, who was always at her side. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews and a small circle of close friends and her card playing buddies. As per mom’s wishes cremation has taken place and her funeral mass was held at St. Edward’s Roman Catholic Church, Kelligrews, CBS on February 16, 2019. Inurnment will take place at a future date. The family wishes to thank: EMS services in CBS and Eastern Health; Dr. Stefanelli and his neurology team; and the nursing staff at HSC ER (Danny, Howard, Catherine and Erica) for being so caring during this difficult time for the family. The family as well express gratitude to the kind and helpful staff at Hickey’s for helping us navigate through this very traumatic time in our lives.
